Re: Vector with EMC

I thought I'd run some examples and try to pin down my G02/G03 I/J
errors today. Well, I generated G-code in Vector for arcs of 80, 100,
280, 350 and 360 degrees. I first generated code using 4 significant
figures and tried these. I was floored when they all ran. So it must be
a sometimes under some circumastances error. I know I've seen the error
and going to radius solved it. I'll generate code in the future for I/J
and radius and verify the I/J code. When I see this error again I'll
isolate the line(s) and post 'em.

I import *.dxf from other CAD packages. Would I be right in assuming
that if a path is generated using Shift select that it's within the
default tolerance? This is what I've been doing. Once in a while I mess
up with CAD and don't trim correctly. These show up with the above in
Vector.

I checked a full circle this afternoon and only got one circuit. I'm
running the Aug. 11, 2000 version on EMC which I think is getting to be
an old version. I did see the directions you menioned, and have them
bookmarked, but I'm a little scared to re-compile EMC.
