Re: servo vs stepper

I'm all for servos over steppers. If you are going to go with the
Gecko drives then there is not alot of price difference between their
stepper and servo drives. I also like the fact that a servo will not
really loose steps like a stepper could. If the servo gets behind
because of excess force (taking to big of cut for the motors) then
the drive will fault and stop. With proper circuitry you can have
all the drives falt and thus stop your job. I would hate to have a
stepper setup and loose some steps but not know it until after the
part finishes.
