I think we had this discussion already. :-) For Bridgeport X and Y you need DC brushtype servos rated at about 100 volts and 28 lb/in torque or better. I never even tuned my Gecko 320's I just hooked them up out of the box and they worked perfectly. I dont have an oscilloscope and didnt see any need to adjust anything. I'm not promising that if you change to servos you wont have any problems but the only problem I had was the servo leads crosstalking with encoder cables and was quickly corrected by re-routing them away from each other. I simply corrected that and its been no trouble at all since. The only problem I have with it is chips getting in the keyboard....thats it. Servo systems are much simpler than Stepper systems. My motors run all day and hardly get warm. Drives with the fan stay very cool also. I bought Bobcad V18 recently and I'm doing 3-D surfacing, pocketing etc quickly. Its very impressive.

I wish you lived around the Detroit area and you could come by and see my machine perform. I think that would convince you.
