I have a set of Starrett snap bore gages that I use.
I can get things to a couple tenths with them.
Import ones are prob about as good and are about
$12 for a set of four.
I also made up a set of tapered plug gages for some standard
bearing sizes. They have a very slight taper and some machined rings
that show the max and min allowed bore sizes, but of course
they only show the surface of the bored hole.
