I am lucky in that the houseing allows the bearing to move and the
spring washers hole the bearing in place. Very good fit.
Believe it or not, I use an old set of inside dividers. seems that
either I have just been doing it too long or I can just 'feel' the
friction of the surface well enough to get things dead on.
There are some times when I would like a press fit, and the parts is
really hot from a lot of boring that I will take the hot part onto
the shaft/bearing, press it, and let it cool. It's great going on,
but I hate to have to take them apart later.
