EMC is being compiled on the newer Red Hat versions - All be it with varying
degrees of success. Mandrake and SuSE also have an enthusiastic following as
does Slackware.
Debian is my preferred choice, which is also the basis for the Morphix CD.

In short, the choice of Linux distro should make too much difference to EMC.
If things don't go quite as expected, there is a knowledgeable and helpfull
user group that is more than willing to assist as long as you are open minded
and willing to listen.
