I can't speak to the quality of the Sherline, I have never owned or even
touched one. I can speak to the TAIG. Cliff and everybody at TAIG are great
people to work with. I have been to their plant and their attention to
quality is excellent! And unlike many other manufacturers, they seem to
price according to materials and work, not according to "what the market
will bear". Anytime I have ordered something they ship when they say and
everything is well packed. Their mill is an excellent and robust design
very capable of cutting steel. I have no attachment to the company, just a
very satisfied customer.
I just ordered a TAIG mill spindle assembly at $60. It would be interesting
to compare that to the Sherline price.
