One of my primary recomendations to newbies is to leave room for
large stuff. It usualy does not cost more to leave room for a 1 inch
screw when you start out with a 1/2 one.

ditto motors. Although I have been doing steppers, I recomend that a
NEMA34 space be provided if one is planning on a NEMA23.

I am laying out the rails for the unit and will make a simple 18 x 36
becasue I have the parts. Well, actually, It will be a router table
when it is all said and done, but that will prove out the speeds and
feeds for the plasma. The two are being designed together, but I am
more interested in the plasma being done correctly.
