The calculation is for the amount of capacitance needed on the power supply.
The voltage is the voltage of the supply, and the current is the maximum
amount of current that the supply is designed to supply.

It doesn't matter how many drives you attach to the supply, as long as they
don't draw more than the max current that the supply CAN supply.

3 15000uF caps in parallel will give you the 45000uF you are looking for; no
need to find one large one.
