But I am not running a Bridgeport.
The specs are in my original posting.
This is a small tabletop mill. And
it will not be running day and night.
Just a few hours a week.

Most parts will be 2-3" long and
3/4" dia. Depth of cut about 1/16".
Cutting tip dia typ 1/16" Soft material.

This is more like cutting wax for
jewelry. Or plastics.

So I don't think I can afford servos
and everything that goes with them.

I checked Hobby CNC. They are kits.
If I cannot find a suitable ready made
solution, I might go with them.

Allen-bradley system with slo-syn steppers. The only thing reliable
about it was if I exceeded 40 ipm on X and 20 ipm on Y it would skip
and I could rely on it trashing the workpiece. Z drive board was
fried so many times, I didnt even consider it as a 3 axis machine
anymore. I'm sure there are systems that work fine. As long as the
feeds are kept at very low rates. The difference between servos and
