Terry,
I did not give John a complete list. Here is what I told John.
John.
I have not done a detailed analysis of other boards.
Our boards have integrated all the functions that we think are needed to
support Mach2.
A couple of things to look for. Support for 3.3 volt mother boards and
laptops. Our board supports 3.3 volts mother boards as we have designed it
with a buffer amplifier on the input.
Support for Gecko drives. Our onboard 5 volt power supply powers the Gecko
optical isolators. We have also selected the proper chip to drive the Gecko
drives.
We support the mach2 charge pump feature. In addition along with the charge
pump we may be the only one to have an anti chatter feature. Other boards
will let the stepper motors chatter or move when Mach2 does not have
control.
Support for solid-state relays and support for proximity sensors.
We just added another chip to better support the MPG feature. We will be
coming out with a little box that will contain MPG feature so that you can
take it to your mill and dial in the Z axis to set the tool at the top of
the material.
There are other features. I do need to make up a brochure with all the
features and why they are there.
Thanks for your interest in our breakout boards.
