With Autode$k, the licence can only be transfered as part of the purchase of
the assets of a company. EXM: you buy a company with a seat of AutoCAD, the
licence transfers to you and you are legal. EXM: a company near you goes
out of business and you buy AutoCAD at the company auction. Autode$k will
not transfer the licence to you..you need to buy a "NEW" copy at full price
to be legal.

Interisting thread, i was under the impression you could buy old
software, the licence would transfer and you would have a leagle copy.

I did this once for a pcb program 15 years ago and had no problem
with getting updates or tech support.
