This drawing was referring to one rail set (2 harden rails) with 2 sets of
bearings whose separation is a Golden Ratio 1.618. http://goldennumber.net
If you're talking about one rail per link then perhaps this drawing.

If you're worried about dust then enclose each axis with way wipers and over
pressure it with a small supply of shop air (did this on a table saw fence).
Bellows would I think be an excellent cover as well.

I need three rails, each independant, they don't need to work in
pairs. No number crunching required, loads will be tiny I know it
will work but given the likely variation in the bars dimentions (the
ground stock is not made to the standard of a parallel for example) I
was worried that too many bearings would lock it up.
