Hi All:
Just as a side note for some of you folks that are making large
CNC travel machines. The last time I was at the local steel company
I saw some Drill Rod stacked up and I ask the fellow about long
pieces. He said that they could order in 6 and 8 foot long in the
one inch diameter size. I forgot what he told me for price but at
the time it did not seem high compared to bearing rails.

Yes, same stuff. I ordered once from "Hepco" and the package that arrived
had Bishop-Wisecarver labels. Go figure! Expensive, yes, but fine stuff.
Much more miniature than Thomson round rod and linear ball-bearing stuff.
I just looked at there site, interesting stuff.

There are links to download a PDF file of the products on the site.
And if it is expensive in the UK, it would be like gold here in the USA.
