Hi there,

One potential problem here... you may be able to connect two linear
power supplies (or batteries even) in series to double the voltage, but
when you do that with a switched mode power supply (i.e.computer PSU)...
*BANG*. Switch mode PSU's monitor the output stage in a type of complex
"loop" so they can't be chained to double the voltage, even putting them
in series is likely to be asking for serious trouble...

If you need 24V it's best to just get a cheap PSU that does 24V, or even
build your own.
Otherwise you're at 12V, but your performance for steppers rated 24V at
12V is going to be abyssmal. You'd be better off with 2-3V steppers and
a chopper drive (Xylotex/Gecko and friends)...
