if someone disappears from the picture, and people who use the code
commercially commit time and effort to push bug fixes back into the main
code base!
I have a nice USB card with button and encoder interface which looks
good for the pendent. Now I need to sort out code to use it. It will be
interesting to see which version is easiest to write :)
