bevel feature for plasma cutter

Would anyone have any information on adding a bevel feature to a cnc
plasma cutter table. We need this feature to assist starting the
plasma arc when cutting 5/8 and 3/4 inch thick steel profiles,
without drilling a start hole. Hypertherm suggested that above 3/8
steel thickness we should start the arc with the torch on a 45
degree angle and slowly move it to the perpendicular position with a
small spiraling motion. This way the slag splash doesn't bounce up
and enter the torch thereby shortening the life of the consumables.
If we were to try laying the torch over it would likely have to be a
foot clear of the gantry.
We could then use the bevel capabilities provided by the additonal 2
axis to angle edges of thick plate. Has anyone got any idea of what
CAM software is required to provide for adding the 2 bevel axis
movements. We currently use Sheetcam.
