The knobs are stout CNC'd aluminum (as is about everythig Sutter makes) and
with the inherent drag of the seals on the encoder shafts actually gives a
nice feel. (I realize you meant force feedback, but I'd be happy with the
feel of inertia like my HK930 stereo receiver's tuning knob...)

By the way, the photo isn't really clear, but the "knob box" is only maybe
2 inches thick--a semi-squashed isometric cube, as it were--just enough to
be able to identify the axes while watching through the microscope as you
spear the micropipette through the egg's wall while cloning another
sheep...
