I'm new to this group, but do have some electronics/CNC/machinist
experince.

I bought some new cheapie lathe and mills and want to convert to DRO
before making the plunge into CNC. Can you recommend any (preferably
inexpensive) source for rotary encoders, and could these then be
used later to provide closed loop feedback for CNC?
