Jerry, I have found that they change all the time ! It is just pretty
transparent to the client. You order the WRONG number.... They send the RIGHT
part !!!!

Start comparing a packing slip with your original ordered number and often it
will be different. Can you imagine the team of people making and keeping all
those numbers straight ?

We stock about 7000 car parts and it is difficult to say the least. The right
software plays a big part. Obviously they have millions invested in just
that. (researching e-commerce/inventory and accounting packages recently for
our use has introduced me to many packages that $ Start $ at 2 million !!!!)

THAT is why I think they are so incredible. 12 years with them and the ONLY
screw ups always point back to me ! Pricing ? I must have the wrong Grainger
Book. They do not come close.

Believe me, they have some system when it comes to Orders, Back Orders,

(I wonder if they actually exist with them), Oh Wait, I did order 500 of
those Metric Blue Bolts once for stock..... they only had 300 that they could
send out from their chicago branch. I had to wait 1 more day for the other
200.

Did you ever E-Mail them with a dumb question ? You barely get the send
button pushed and they either call or re-e-mail.

If I could have the finances to model our company around another companies
techniques, they'd be the one.

I want a tour ! Anyone know which end if Chicago their at ??

To be fair, McM, Grainger, Msc,..... Gosh, you really need them all.
