MSC is much stronger in cutting tools but does not have the full
variety of McMaster in areas like materials, rarely used tools, etc.

Editing the catalog costs the same amount no matter how many copies
they print, so this is not an argument for not printing more. The
cost of printing each copy is. I would think though that by tossing a
35-cent CD in with an order every 6 months they could cut down on the
load on their web site...

Actually, one thing I've noticed is that we are far more likely to
place a one or two item order at work, because we need those items
badly, wheras at home my typical order is often $100-200 or more since
I tend to wait until I need enough things to feel like placing an
order is justified. So who's penny-anteing them?
