Perhaps I missed it. What distro and version of Linux are you using?

You can get some version and compiler info by typing the following command
into a terminal.

cat /proc/version

also

cat /proc/devices
cat /proc/cpuinfo
cat /proc/interrupts
cat /proc/iomem

might help you see what Linux thinks is in there.

One thing you will want to look for as you work into the EMC is the Real-Time
patch of the Linux kernel for your version. I believe that you can run sim
without it but little else.
