I'm sure in some cases one axis pair might be linear, while the other
pair would have an arc to compute. That is typically already being
done, if the controller can do helical interpolation with two additional
linear axis.

BobCad wire manuals? These are downloadable? The biggest problem when
I tried to learn BobCad a few years back was NO manuals! Do you have a
URL?
