This very subject has been discussed in the last day or to on the emc-users
list.. First off, EMC does not use external parallel port drivers, nor does
it care if it as an ISA or PCI card.
Second, The standard Linux parallel port drivers generally pick up on PCI
cards should you need to use one for a printer (with the large range of
kernels, it is unlikely the supplier would have a driver that worked anyway).

Plug the card in, boot up as normal, then do the following :-

cat /proc/pci

Look for something like this :-

Bus 0, device 8, function 0:
Communication controller: PCI device 9710:9815 (rev 1).
IRQ 11.
Master Capable. Latency=32.
I/O at 0xb000 [0xb007].
I/O at 0xb400 [0xb407].
I/O at 0xb800 [0xb807].
I/O at 0xbc00 [0xbc07].
I/O at 0xc000 [0xc007].
I/O at 0xc400 [0xc40f].

Here we have a dual parallel port card that claims to be at several
addresses. I used 0xb000 and 0xbc00 for Step/Dir and IO respectively.
Luckily, this worked first time - If it hadn't, it would be a case of trying
each address in turn with IO_Exercise.tcl.
