I am not advocating taking all the EDM stuff off this list, but if
you have been around here long enough, actual machine use is not on
topic.

this CCED list is for building machines, not using them.

drill bit or milling cutter selection for stainless or aluminum is
not on topic. ditto wire thickness selection or electrode selection
or even dielectric fluid selection.

feed rates and head speed is not on topic.

'how' to remove a broket tap is not on topic.

If EDM gets too high a percentage of bandwidth on the CCED list,
things not dedicated to design and building will be off topic. I
think the list moms have been great about letting EDM get the lime
light and more than it's share of recent posts. I think they are
giving it extra breathing room as it has so little history.

Once a topic is declared off topic, there is no discussion on the
list. Knowing that in advance we now have a group where those things
can be discussed as well as a place where additional photos can be
placed.

the CCED files section is 89% filled and the photo's section is 99%
filled. we just need more room.

don't be worried about diluting this list or this topic, most
daughter sites are simple archive sites and not major offshoots.

all that said, THIS post is off topic.
