I don't think these mice are very accurate. Move your mouse cursor to
the middle of the screen and make a note of where the mouse is on your
desk. Now move it around for a little while and return it to where you
started. You will find that the cursor is no longer in the middle of the
screen. If you have mouse acceleration turned on, turn it off or you
will get skewed results.
