Joe,
You will be surprised what you can do with double sided tape. Your
biggest problem using it might be getting your parts free when you are
done. I recently machined a 6 x 12 x 3/8 plate of delrin using tape.
There were three rectangular pockets that really skeletonized the plate.
I drilled the four corner holes first, then set it on a large plate of
acrylic with pins matching the 4 holes. This was more for location since
I had to machine both sides. The tape did all the holding, and it was a
slow process prying the part off when I was done. You might want to lay
the tape down first, then press your hand on the tape where you would be
putting the parts. This will reduce the holding power.
