Joe,
I use double sided tape on my router all the time and it works real good,
except when you need to cut through the tape which will gum up the cutter.
If I need to go all of the way through the work I screw it down to my MDF
spoilboard. The last cut through the work is done slow speed and just a few
thousandths deep. I just hold the part I am cutting out with my finger, but
I am
only cutting wood and plastic. Not sure that is a good thing to do with
metal
though.
I have been using Polyken carpet tape since I got a good deal on a bunch
of rolls surplus one time.
