I presume you are referring to Portland cement mixes. Resin has such
different properties than cement that the 5/8" rule for concrete would
probably not be valid. Aggregate is added for it's stiffness and damping
properties. Strength and more stiffness are acquired by adding the fibers I
mentioned in my previous post. The stiffness is generally more important
than strength in a machine base.
