That's very interesting. The power stage of the Gecko 320/340 is very
similar to each phase's power stage on the Gecko 201/210. Of course, the
stepper has 2 full bridges up to 7 A each, the servo has one full bridge up
to 20 A. One difference is most servo systems idle at near zero
current, the
stepper idles with about 30% of the current setting. And, of course that is
set for maximum with the size 42 motors, at least in parallel connection.
