Alan (KM6VV), Tom H., Dave M., and anyone else I may have missed,
First off, thanks for all of the help in trying to solve my plotter
problem. I still have not been able to get it to respond to any commands
from the computer in DOS, or Basic, or Windows. Even though the plotter
will power up and perform it's demo plot with no problem. And still have
the blinking error light that will not reset. The manual talks about
getting error information from the plotter using ESC commands, but I have
not been able to figure that one out. It says that ESC.E should report back
what the error is causing the blinking light. But I am too inept to get it
to work I guess.
So will keep trying and probably scrap it for the servo's for a future
eggbot project. In the meantime I picked up several steppers that I will
initially use in my eggbot project. Vinyl cutting will have to come later,
or use the cutter on my mill.
Which brings me to the cutter. I have pics and a description of the
cutter for you guy's and anyone else who would like to see it. But as luck
would have it, I wanted to upload the photo's on the group site, but I
cannot find a link to create an album and upload the photo's. So if someone
would tell me how to do it I will, or provide your direct email addresses
and I will email to you directly.
I would like to see if this cutter works, there is no reason that it
should not, but it still would be nice to see it actually work.
Let me know guys, and sorry about the delay, I am also a procrastinator.
Sincerely,
Victor A. Estes
