I've not done much with plotters but have had to deal with similar stuff with
printers, early on, as in years and years ago. What you need to do is,
with the appropriate driver loaded to talk to it, load a terminal program
(hyperterm under windows. telix under dos, or minicom under linux), test
that setup to see if there's any data transfer going on (a test light adapter
comes in handy for this), and then send your escape sequences. Feel free to
