I have a series 2 I retrofitted using G202's and the originalsteppers. I am running 56VDC power supply. The machine will doreliable 90ipm rapids. My understanding is the G202 drives arespecifically designed to survive running larger stepper motors likethese. I have had zero Gecko issues... My G202's are mounted on analuminum plate inside of the old control cabinet, and are NOT fancooled! I have about 150 hours of run time on the setup, and no issueswith the G202 drives... I would have to recommend the G202's! Awesome.

That twin head machine is pretty unusual. How does it control the Z axis? Does the Series 1 have steppers (big finned monsters) or has it been retrofitted with servos? If it has steppers then allow for the

of new servos. The original steppers are slow and have an unhealthy appetite for Geckos.
Assuming you want to keep the origional steppers, what choices arethere for drivers those motors chew up Geckos ?DaveAddresses: FAQ: http://www.ktmarketing.com/faq.html FILES: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/CAD_CAM_EDM_DRO/files/Post Messages: CAD_CAM_EDM_DRO@yahoogroups.com Subscribe: CAD_CAM_EDM_DRO-subscribe@yahoogroups.com Unsubscribe: CAD_CAM_EDM_DRO-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com List owner: CAD_CAM_EDM_DRO-owner@yahoogroups.com, wanliker@..., timg@...: pentam@... indigo_red@... davemucha@...
