First, I ASSUME or ASS-U-ME, that the router CAN be used on a DC
output AND that the controller can run that motor.

Big assumptions, and if things blow up, well, it is your router not
mine :/

If the router is single speed, then the wall plug leads are the
armature connections.

If it has an on-board speed control, then you cannot use a second one.

You could connect a recepticle up to the speed controller, although
you might try to use it for something it was not meant to be used for.

I run trim routers from a router speed control. have not opened the
box to peek inside to see what electronics it has in there.
