Excellent news Roger, another part of the jigsaw fitting in to place.
As for the budget printers, I aggree that the ink cartridges are a bit
of an issue with no CISS easily available though I found this one:
http://www.macroenter.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=CIS%2DHP%2D3920%2D21%2D22
but its $156
The fact that they are lightly built is somewhat irrelevant because
they are doing light work and we will be printing into flour at the
end of the day so could never expect photo quality, I don't expect to
see any problems for a long time, given the fact our homebuilds can't
be used for commercial printing for patent reasons they will probably
outlast us. The other thing I'd say is that the build quality of the
low end HP's is much better than the epsons, they at least have a
linear rail rather than just using the belt steel frame.
For 3D printing the only thing you need to print a lot of is the
binder and I don't really see that the pro printers make that any
easier unless you buy the bulk system and that assumes you can change
the ink for binder and that you want to spend the money on the system.
