Hi Roger,
50w laser will do it, galvanic will do it, having a sealed chamber
filled with nitrogen is not that easy, and having powder heated to
just the right temperature is not easy task.
they heat the powder then the laser have a litlle work to do to
bring the powder to sinter.
I'm thinking, how do they get just the working layer to get
sintered without sintering the previous layer?
That's about 0.2mm layer to focus the beam to it.
Nitrogen is there to avoid setting the powder on fire and to avoid
oxidizing.
