Graham,
I think terminology is tripping us upwhich is pretty funny considering
niether one of is exactly sure of the record format.

For me a contour record is the record that defines the start of a
level. Boundry records are all records following the contour record on
the same level.

A contour with a hole is comprised of a Contour record (header)
followed by a boundry record. The first contour record is always on
the outside of the figure. More complex shapes may have many boundry
records. If the direction of the vector of a boundry record matches
the direction of a contour record it is outside.

The direction varies on contour records. Withing a model they can be
all clockwise or all counter clockwise.

PS. Guys... this is all kind of esoteric and you only need to worry
about it if you are writing your own parser.
