Hi Graham,
Per the link? I musta missed that. I may just try the Rhino4 demo,
although I usually stay away from time-limited demos. 30x might not be too
bad.
We have the Dimension STS. Actually two heads, one is ABS, the other is a
water soluble "support" material. Oftentimes the part is not flat-bottomed,
or has long dis-continuous areas. The Dimension fills the open areas with a
loose-lattice of the support material.
I've seen the layered-paper machine work. One could always use paper from a
roll! Balsa wood would go faster, one might even be able to cut it with a
small laser, although a tiny fast endmill might be easier to work with.
