Ron,
I looked at the PDFs they were fine. Then I loaded the DXF into my Turbocad 9.x. The drawings were there, but turbo trashed the sheet. i.e. The drawings were there, but they were smushed into one corner of the sheet and the text overlayed the template. I'm no Turbo expert and this is an older version of Turbo, but this looks like a compaatibility problem on one side or the other. It will be interesting to see how they import to other CADs. Did you (or someone) say they went across to Autocad OK? Using DXF format?
