I had picked up the "Intro" version of Alibre as their FREE download and had
loaded it and was planning on using it to learn on but shortly after I got
it set up I had system problems and had to reload my entire computer OS.
The program would not accept the previous registration info in spite of
using the saved downloaded file from my hard drive that I had loaded the
first time. Contact with Alibre was not beneficial, they now wanted to sell
me their "$99 Special" rather than allow me to reload the FREE program that
I had set up in my old OS. I tried to explain to them that I wanted to
evaluate the program and learn how to use it with their FREE program that I
already had and that I just needed a valid registration number but they
refused and kept offering to sell me their other packages.

Yes, all versions of Alibre have excel driven design capabilities. I've
never used the capability, so no clue how well it works, but according to
the website the feature is included.
