If you're going to run the EMC (or any other) G-Code controller under
windows, you'll have to use either an external pulse generator or design a
software driver to allow real-time control of the printer port. While it's
easy to build a really neat looking interface under windows, there's enough
internal overhead in that operating environment to make it difficult to send
a robust pulse train out of the printer port.

That being said, Art Fenerty appears to have figured out how to write those
drivers for his Master5 and Mach1 G-Code controllers. I use the word
'appears' because I have not tried his software and have no first-hand
experience. I believe that his controllers are at least based on the EMC
definition and may have started with the EMC source code.

In any event, good luck on your endeavor. You might also want to take a look
at the G2002 board set from Gecko for use as your external pulse generator.
