Just to be the contrarian, I am going the opposite direction. I was an
early EMC adopter and helped many people get up and running on it.
Learned enough of Linux to have no problems setting it up or getting it
networked and even wrote an install script to help people patch the
kernel and compile EMC prior to BDI. But now I am moving most everything
to Mach1 and/or DeskCNC. Lots of reasons but primarily it is ease of
use.
