Well, there are some nuanced differences in how picky the control gets
with the lead-in and lead-out sequences. EMC is very picky about inside
corners, for instance. I have an article on how I figured this out at
http://www.timgoldstein.com/cad_cam/diacomp.htm This is fairly old,
but the code that does this hasn't changed. I figured out EMC's way
of doing it, and it was very similar to the Allen-Bradley control I used
before. But, yes, EMC IS pickier about the inside corners than the A-B
was.

Linux has some VERY fine text editors, but EMC has an editor built into
it, that pops up whenever you are in auto mode and click on the edit entry
in one of the pull-down menus at the top of the EMC window.
