Re: [CAD_CAM_EDM_DRO] gecko's and voltage

Step down transformers are used to provide 120VAC to areas where only
240 VAC is available. Example: some commercial gensets only generate
240VAC. Example: some building rooms are only fed 240VAC.

These transformers have full primary/secondary isolation. They are big
heavy duty power transformers. They are not autotransformers. I've
used several on other projects in the past.
