So it's not windows then, it's the muppets that use it. Those same
muppets use the servers thousands of times a day, they copy files
backwards and forwards, they surf the net, they send and receive
external email and attachments - they don't get viruses, trojans and
dangerous activeX stuff. They don't get much spam either, the odd one
slips through, but as soon as it's reported it doesn't happen again.
Simply - it's set up properly and all autonomous, apart from adding the
odd manual spam filter and reading the daily reports to check it's all
happening as it should.

Only drawback is - it costs money. People are happy to spend many
hundreds or thousands on hardware and whine when it comes to spending
money on security software.

I've no sympathy whatsoever for anybody who connects any server or PC to
the outside world without taking adequate precautions whether it be
Linux, Unix, Windows or whatever other OS you care to run.

I'm not complaining though, it's made me thousands over the years ;)
