Good day folks,
It's been a while since I wrote to the list, having been lurking and
learning most of the time.
I am an amateur machinist, have a Proxxon MF70 with the Usovo
<http://www.usovo.de/> CNC conversion kit and am using EMC2 to control it.
I think the kit is nice, although having had no previous experience
with other machines, I can't really compare. The modifications to the
original machine are not that difficult and looking around for prices it
seems to give a lot of bang for the buck.
The only real trouble I'm having (other than lack of experience) is
with the motor-spindle couplings. Usovo's alma mater Peter Urban
suggests to use a better glue than the cyanoacrylate I used (he quotes
Conrad part number 813430
<http://www.conrad-international.com/?article=813430>). However, I
dislike the idea of using glue. So my question goes, is there any good,
mechanical option for this job that has a reasonable price tag? (I have
seen some couplings costing over 30$, which seem to me way too much for
the job)
Thanks and have a great time,
