Sun Sunfire V480 Server 300-1490 Hot swap Power supply 48v 24.5A
Sun V880 AC Power Supply P/N 300-1353 48v 15.6A

Either of these can be had from eBay for like $35 or less. There are
always MANY of them up on any given day.
Sun server power supply is going to be of EXCELLENT quality, and I'd say
used it as good as new for all I care.

HP seems to use 48V DC rails too. However, I was fooled by looking at
an HP "48V power supply"- it was actually the supply which turns the 48V
rail into 12V and 5v power. Glad I waited until the next day to think
about bidding on it and found a close-up of the label on it and realized
what it was. Presumably Sun has the same 48v-to-12v/5v supplies out
there too, which we don't want.
