computer power supplies may need to have a sense line shorted. in some power supplies, there is a sense line that requires a signal or the power supply will not output. google the power supply you have to see if anyone has a note on how to use it.
= = = = =
if you want or need more power get the gecko's.
you can put one on an axis and see how it runs. be careful, if speed and power get you excited, prepare to be excited.
I am not sure why so many people talk about speed. a Maserati in Manhattan can only go 35 mph. your mini-mill cutting speed is the only real need. that must have power without loosing steps, all the top end speed is useless except for bragging rights. now, if your laser table needs 200 FPM cutting speeds........
as for where to ask to troubleshooot xylotex :
http://www/xylotex.com/
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Xylotex/
obviously you will only get people on this group to tell you to buy geckos and totally ignore your questions.
