Hi Marco:

I came up with my own solution for the problem of heating the
garage. Basically i heat it with the house furnace. My garage is
seperated from the house with a breezeway. The breezeway has a crawl
space under it. I was able to run round duct from the furnace
plennum to a 8 inch inline centrifical blower to insulated flexable
duct under the breezeway to a vent in the garage. My setup meets
code because i have a firebreak on the vent and there is no cold air
return.

The 8 inch blower was a little big it will heat the garage in 1/2 an
hour. A 6 inch blower would have been plenty.

The centrifugal blowers power is wired to a manual off on switch in
series with the furnace blower. I am also thinking of putting a
thermostat on the blower.

The centrifugal blower was purchaced at grainger. And a sheet metal
shop made a adapter to mount the firebreak on the vent and connect
the flexable duct to. I can't remember how much the adapter cost.
But was probabaly under $200
