:-D Nope. This was in this old house I'm living in. Don't know how long
the pipes have been there but they definitely had scale in them. I'm in
Colorado now ...we get lots of alkalai water here. I've even seen old PVC
pipes that have been tossed out at the local junk yard with scale build up.

I think several other water lines here should be replaced. The lines to the
kitchen come directly from the main inlet pipe and the water pressure there
is low compared to the pressure from the other lines. My guess is they need
to be replaced. But since I rent....I'm not going to do it.
